Shrimp:

- Shrimp eat algae, which perpetually grows,

- Shrimp die when there is too much waste in the tank.

Goldfish:

- Goldfish eat shrimp and shrimp eggs, and will cannibalize each other if there are no more shrimp in the tank

- Goldfish only lay eggs in the Grass Nest. If there is too much algae in the tank, the nest plant will die. 

Catfish: 

- Catfish eat waste and bodies, and are strictly bottom feeders.
